Miu Miu presents the second edition of Tales & Tellers in New York, a multidisciplinary project unfolding May 10th–11th, 2025, at Terminal Warehouse. Originally conceived by Miuccia Prada, the event brings together fashion, cinema, and contemporary art in a site-specific installation and live performance. Curated by artist Goshka Macuga and convened by MACBA director Elvira Dyangani Ose, the project reimagines narratives of femininity through a series of transformative acts. Tales & Tellers draws on the archive of Miu Miu Women’s Tales film commissions and artistic moments from runway shows spanning Spring/Summer 2022 to 2025.
The installation includes 36 performance vignettes, developed in collaboration with theatre and opera director Fabio Cherstich, where characters from the original films are embodied by actors and set alongside projected video. Premiered in Paris in 2024, Tales & Tellers now invites New York audiences to step into a layered space where stories are not only told—but inhabited. Don’t miss our interview with Goshka Macuga on her subterranean inspirations, the Temple of Mithras, and her rethinking of the fashion runway as a site of reflection.
