Naomi Osaka made a stunning return to the US Open, not only with her performance but also with her eye-catching outfit. The tennis star collaborated with designer YOON (AMBUSH) and Nike to create a unique ensemble featuring bright green bows. Her outfit included a bright green tennis dress with a ruffled skirt, a detachable tulle tutu and a sheer white windbreaker with a green bow at the back. Even her white Nike trainers carried the bow theme, with green bows on the heels.
Osaka explained that the feminine design was a nod to her Japanese heritage, where she first encountered the ruffles and bows she now embraces on court. She shared that while she doesn’t usually associate herself with girlishness during matches, she appreciates the beauty and coolness of the design. The bows also symbolise her graceful yet powerful style of play, inspired by her movement coach who is a ballerina.
