Rimowa and Rick Owens are set to unveil a limited-edition collaboration that redefines travel style. From January 30th, 2025, the RIMOWA x Rick Owens Original Cabin Bronze will be available at select stores and online. This innovative design merges Owens’s signature dark, raw aesthetic with Rimowa’s heritage in high-quality aluminium craftsmanship. The standout feature of this suitcase is its unique patinated bronze finish, achieved through a meticulous manual process that ensures no two pieces are identical.
Owens, known for his avant-garde approach, wanted the suitcase to evoke the tactile feel of a black leather glove on the inside, and the exterior to recall the works of sculptors like Giacometti and Serra. The interior of the suitcase has been entirely reimagined, featuring a fully leather-lined space, sourced directly from Rick Owens’s materials, creating a sensory experience that evolves with time. Both brands’ logos are discreetly placed, maintaining a minimalist feel, with a small logo badge on the exterior and embossed marks on the interior leather straps.
