SHOWstudio marks its 25th anniversary with NATURALLY, a boundary-pushing fashion film premiering globally on December 17th, 2025. Created by image-maker Nick Knight, the project reaffirms the studio’s long-standing commitment to fashion and technology while introducing smart glasses as a new cinematic tool.
A new fashion film for a milestone moment
Conceived especially for the anniversary, NATURALLY is a short 3D fashion film that explores three interwoven themes—mind, body, and soul. The film is fronted by an international cast including Anok Yai, Naomi Campbell, Mona Tougaard, Susie Cave, and Xiao Wen Ju. Throughout the project, the models wear designs by long-term SHOWstudio collaborators such as Iris Van Herpen, Comme des Garçons, Dilara Findikoğlu, Jawara Alleyne, and archival Christian Dior by John Galliano.
Rather than presenting fashion as a static image, the work treats clothing as something lived in, moving through both physical and imagined landscapes. This approach reflects SHOWstudio’s belief that a fashion film should reveal process as much as spectacle.
Fashion and technology in three dimensions
At the core of NATURALLY is the use of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, positioning smart glasses as an active creative instrument rather than a passive recording device. Worn by Knight during filming, the glasses captured high-resolution 3K footage while he moved around both models and environments. This material was then transformed using Gaussian scanning, a technique that converts live subjects into fully three-dimensional forms.
Placed inside expansive digital landscapes, these figures can be viewed from any angle, collapsing the boundaries between still image, film, and virtual space. The result underscores SHOWstudio’s pioneering role in merging fashion and technology, from early livestreams to AI-driven visuals.
