The V&A South Kensington presents the Taylor Swift Songbook Trail, a unique exhibition celebrating the 14-time Grammy winner. This special project marks the success of Taylor Swift’s UK tour and highlights her creativity in costumes, lyrics and music videos. The exhibition consists of 13 installations, each representing a chapter of Swift’s illustrious career. Visitors and fans alike can explore costumes, accessories, storyboards and instruments associated with key moments in her musical journey.
The exhibition begins with Swift’s early days and continues through her albums, from Fearless to Reputation and Folklore. Visitors will find notable items such as the cowboy boots from her debut tour and the dress from the Love Story video. The installations, created by award-winning designer Tom Piper, feature visuals, audio and set designs inspired by Swift’s career.
Kate Bailey, Senior Curator at the V&A, said she was excited to showcase Swift’s iconic looks and storytelling skills. As well as celebrating her artistic achievements, the trail aims to inspire visitors with insights into her creative process.
The Taylor Swift Songbook Trail runs from July 27th to September 8th, 2024. Visit the V&A website for more details.
