The new Es Devlin exhibition transforms the Casa Bradesco into a living reflection of human connection

Es Devlin’s exhibition I Am the Other’s Other is now on view at Casa Bradesco in São Paulo through September 27th, 2026. Curated by Marcello Dantas, the exhibition features six large-scale installations that invite visitors to step beyond observation and actively shape the experience. Blending sculpture, architecture, technology, and performance, the project explores identity through memory, perception, and human connection. It marks Devlin’s first exhibition in Brazil and her largest installation show to date.

Where light becomes a shared language

Spanning 1,500 square metres, the exhibition unfolds as a sequence of interconnected environments that encourage visitors to experience the works collectively.

A highlight is Es Devlin’s Infinite Library—a projection-mapped installation built from 4,000 books. Here, the library becomes a luminous archive of shared imagination, suggesting that every story is woven from countless voices rather than written in isolation.

Mirrors, memory, and collective participation

In Mirror Maze, reflective glass fractures and multiplies each visitor’s image, proposing identity as something constantly reshaped by perspective and human encounter.

Other installations extend this dialogue. Come Home Again fills a house-shaped structure with drawings of endangered species, linking human and ecological histories. Co-Imagine invites visitors to contribute portraits to a 24-metre collaborative drawing table, while Screen Share allows each participant to leave with one of Devlin’s sketches, carrying part of the exhibition beyond the gallery.
