Making its debut at the Swiss fair this June, the Art Basel Shop curated by Sarah Andelman will present exclusive collectables across art, design, fashion, and publishing. Opening on June 11th, the store will showcase a curated selection of limited-edition products developed with participating artists and galleries. Don’t miss it!
The concept is one of surprise and discovery, in the spirit of Colette. Andelman plans to customise the merchandise for each Art Basel edition, ensuring that visitors will encounter new products. The store will feature a range of products themed around Art Basel’s Unlimited sector, including items such as Unlimited Ideas (a mechanical pencil from Bic) and Unlimited Caffeine (a porcelain cup and saucer from Non Sans Raison, Limoges). There will also be items that pay homage to local traditions, such as Basel spice biscuits. The Heritage Collection, inspired by the history of Art Basel, will include hats, T-shirts and bags with embroidery reminiscent of the fair’s first logo in 1970.
Andelman’s vision for the Art Basel Shop goes beyond simply selling products; she wants to create an immersive experience that reflects her passion for art and everyday aesthetics. In doing so, she continues her legacy of redefining retail by blending art, culture and commerce into a unique and compelling experience.
