Tiffany & Co. and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) have joined forces to create the inaugural Tiffany & Co. x CFDA Jewellery Designer Award. This innovative award aims to honour American jewellery designers who are committed to inclusivity and innovation, and to elevate jewellery design to the same level of prestige as womenswear and menswear. Participants selected for this award will receive mentorship and an immersive learning experience within Tiffany & Co.’s renowned environment.
One exceptional designer will be awarded a one-year fellowship in the Tiffany & Co. design department and a $50,000 prize. Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President of Tiffany & Co., said the award reflects Tiffany’s commitment to fostering lasting change in the jewellery and design industries. It underscores the CFDA’s mission to celebrate American creative excellence and identify the next generation of inclusive jewellery designers.
The 2024 selection committee includes luminaries such as Gabrielle Union, Jason Wu and Joan Smalls. The application process opens on July 29th, 2024 and closes on August 16th, 2024.
