Harry Nuriev has inaugurated the first Crosby Studios gallery in Paris, introducing Transformism Laboratory at 8 Rue des Beaux-Arts in Saint-Germain. This new creative outpost brings Harry Nuriev’s vision of Transformism to life—melding art, design, and interior architecture in a single dynamic space.
The Crosby Studios gallery functions as both a showroom and an experimental lab. Its street-facing windows display the kind of surreal assemblages that define Harry Nuriev’s aesthetic: a CD transformed into a clock, a chandelier strung with markers, and vessels crafted from crumpled aluminum. These pieces illustrate Transformism as a practice—elevating ordinary objects through unexpected, often playful design gestures.
Inside, Harry Nuriev continues to apply Transformism across mediums. Visitors encounter stools fashioned from vintage Dell monitors, candle holders embedding broken Balenciaga sunglasses and plastic spiders, and a plush oversized pouf that reimagines comfort with a futuristic edge. A mirror made from repurposed spoons and forks underscores Crosby Studios’ ability to turn domestic objects into sculptural statements.
With Transformism Laboratory, Harry Nuriev invites the public into the core of Crosby Studios—offering not just a gallery, but a portal into his evolving philosophy of form, material, and transformation.
