Le Nouveau Printemps 2026: Rossy de Palma brings her vision to Toulouse

The 2026 edition of Le Nouveau Printemps welcomes Rossy de Palma as its guest artist, transforming the Marengo–Bonnefoy–Jolimont district of Toulouse into a vibrant stage for creativity and exchange. Running from May 29th to June 28th, 2026, the festival will unfold as a poetic dialogue between art, place, and people — a tribute to the city and its inhabitants through the eyes of one of Spain’s most magnetic cultural icons.

Le Nouveau Printemps: an artistic declaration of love

Known for her bold and unconventional spirit, Rossy de Palma envisions Le Nouveau Printemps 2026 as a declaration of love to Toulouse — to its stories, its desires, and the voices that shape its identity. The actress and muse of Pedro Almodóvar curates an exhibition itinerary that intertwines visual art, performance, and community engagement. Collaborating closely with local partners and residents, she imagines a collective artwork rooted in dialogue and transformation.

Among the highlights are immersive installations that merge everyday urban spaces with artistic experimentation. One project explores the soundscape of the city, using recordings of local voices and ambient noises to create a sensory portrait of Toulouse. Another features sculptural interventions that reinterpret public benches and street furniture as meeting points for storytelling and shared memory.

Rossy de Palma and the spirit of the festival

With Rossy de Palma at its helm, Le Nouveau Printemps 2026 promises an edition marked by freedom, dreamlike encounters, and the celebration of collective imagination. Following the footsteps of past guest curators such as Matali Crasset, Alain Guiraudie, and Kiddy Smile, the festival continues to redefine what a citywide art event can be — accessible, bold, and deeply connected to its environment.

As the station district becomes a living canvas, this new chapter of Le Nouveau Printemps reinforces Toulouse’s place as a European hub of creativity, where art not only reflects the city’s rhythm but amplifies its pulse.

Join us for an intimate dialogue with Rossy de Palma, a woman who turns life itself into performance. She speaks on honesty in cinema, the power of inspiration, and the timeless beauty of poetry as the soul of art.
