Kid Cudi will present his first Paris art show, titled ‘Echoes of the Past’

Kid Cudi steps into the spotlight of the Paris art show scene with Echoes of the Past, his first-ever solo painting exhibition in the French capital. Presented under his given name, Scotty Ramon, the project marks a new chapter for the American artist, expanding his long-standing dialogue between music, fashion, and visual art.

The exhibition opens at Galerie Ruttkowski;68 in Paris’s 3rd arrondissement and runs from January 30th to March 1st, 2026, with free public access.

Paris art show: a new creative territory for Kid Cudi

Conceived as an immersive experience, Echoes of the Past explores themes of isolation, melancholy, and self-discovery. Rather than separating disciplines, Kid Cudi approaches painting with a musical sensibility, translating rhythm, emotion, and introspection into color and form. An original soundtrack, created specifically for the show, fills the gallery space, extending the visual narrative into sound and turning the visit into a fully sensory encounter.

Painting, alter ego, sound

Among the works presented is a series of vibrant canvases that sit between abstraction and storytelling. Geometric shapes and saturated hues operate like visual notes, echoing the emotional structure of a song. At the heart of these paintings appears Max, the artist’s recurring alter ego, who shifts between silhouette and character. This figure embodies the tension between light and darkness, fantasy and reality, reflecting an ongoing search for identity.

Another key component of the Paris art show is the immersive sound piece that accompanies the paintings. Atmospheric and electric, the soundtrack acts as an extension of Kid Cudi’s inner world, reinforcing the emotional weight of the visuals and blurring the line between concert and exhibition.

While we await Kid Cudi’s first art show, we recommend reading our interview with him, in which he discusses how music informs his fashion label, MOTR; the power of collaboration; and the joy of creating from scratch.
