The Air Jordan 11 enters a new chapter today, September 5th, as COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus brings its precise eye for proportion and reduction to the iconic basketball silhouette. For Autumn/Winter 2026, the collaboration sharpens the sneaker’s familiar codes while retaining the character that made it a cultural classic.
Designed by Tinker Hatfield and first released in 1995, the Air Jordan 11 broke new ground by introducing patent leather to performance footwear, lending the basketball sneaker an unexpectedly polished, almost formal edge. Homme Plus heightens that dialogue between sport and elegance with a pared-back new expression.
A glossy reinterpretation of an icon
Arriving in Black & White, the model extends the AJ11’s signature sheen through a gloss-finished midsole. Full-grain and patent leather define the upper and lining, while debossed branding keeps the finish understated. The tongue logo features “Homme Plus” in the original Air Jordan XI typeface, linking the collaboration directly to the sneaker’s visual heritage. Familiar details are refined and stripped back, leaving a silhouette that remains instantly recognisable yet unmistakably Homme Plus.
The collaboration is accompanied by a campaign photographed by Paris-based photographer Goldie Williams Vericain outside the Comme des Garçons Aoyama flagship in Tokyo. Homme Plus Autumn/Winter 2026 tailoring places sharply structured suiting against the sneaker’s bold proportions, reinforcing the collection’s dialogue between athletic heritage and fashion.
The COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus x Air Jordan 11 is available globally from September 5, 2026, at select Comme des Garçons shops, Dover Street Market locations in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Tokyo, and selected retailers.
