For Milan Fashion Week 2026, Zara introduces Atlas of Desire, a new collection by director Luca Guadagnino and production designer Stefano Baisi. Spanning fashion, interiors and fragrance, the project treats personal taste as a constellation of clothes, objects and spaces, each revealing something about its inhabitant.
The collaboration extends the world explored in our previous article, carrying its cinematic sensibility deeper into the wardrobe.
A wardrobe as a portrait
With more than 200 pieces across ready-to-wear and home, Atlas of Desire treats dressing as an extension of interior decoration. Baisi and Guadagnino construct a character through roomy trenches and pea coats in tweed, fresco wool and leather, alongside tailored suits, chunky knits, shirts, skirts and dresses.
Earthy neutrals meet flashes of jewel-toned satin and sequins, while Italian artist Francesco Snote’s illustrations of fruits, flowers and fauna appear across clothing and ceramic tableware, linking the body to the domestic sphere.
Objects with a secret
Each piece carries its own name and mythology, from PURKERSDORF and NAPE to OPHIUCHI, BLINKING and SACRED SPRING. Furniture, clothing and decorative objects become fragments of a private world: seemingly spontaneous, yet meticulously composed.
Photographed by David Sims, the campaign places models Takfarines Bengana, Roman Lenoir and Bai inside richly decorated rooms. Styled by Robbie Spencer, the wardrobe slips between classic tailoring and unexpected pairings — powder-blue suits with red satin, striped V-necks with metallic shorts and an oversized pink knit swallowing a brown blazer.
Flowers migrate from the interiors onto prints, brooches and the models’ hands, further blurring the line between dressing a room and dressing oneself.
After nearly a decade of constructing worlds across cinema, architecture and fashion, Baisi and Guadagnino offer another entry into their shared universe: one that can be inhabited as much as imagined.
