Art collective teamLab partnered with the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department to present teamLab: Continuous, an outdoor exhibition at Tamar Park and the Central and Western District Promenade. The exhibition showcases Resonating Life that Continues to Stand and Resonating Trees, featuring ovoids and light-producing trees.
According to Takashi Kudo, a teamLab member and communications director, the ovoids represent human emotions, lighting up when pushed down and rising autonomously to symbolise optimism. The ovoids change colour in response to external stimuli, creating a dynamic interplay of light and colour between neighbouring ovoids and trees.
Inspired by the connection between the city and nature, Kudo highlights urban vibrancy while advocating a deeper connection with nature. TeamLab: Continuous will run until 2 June 2024, offering immersive experiences.
