George Condo returns to Hauser & Wirth with two landmark exhibitions in Paris and Palo Alto

George Condo will return to Hauser & Wirth in 2027 with two major exhibitions in Paris and Palo Alto, renewing his global partnership with the gallery. Announced following his acclaimed 2025 retrospective at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, the exhibitions reaffirm Condo’s lasting influence on contemporary painting while presenting new works alongside key pieces from across his career.

The exhibitions continue a relationship renewed in 2019, following the gallery’s decision to represent the artist worldwide. Although Condo briefly parted ways with Hauser & Wirth in late 2026, his return signals a renewed commitment to ambitious international programming.

While curatorial details remain under wraps, both presentations will pair recent paintings with significant earlier works, highlighting the evolution of Condo’s distinctive practice. The Paris exhibition reflects his deep ties to the city, where many of his defining ideas took shape during the 1980s and early 1990s. In Palo Alto, new works will be introduced in a region synonymous with technological innovation, creating a compelling dialogue between artistic invention and contemporary culture.
