Inside Martin Margiela’s personal archives: the sale catalogue for a landmark auction has been released

The catalogue for MARTIN MARGIELA – PERSONAL ARCHIVES is now available, offering collectors and institutions a first glimpse of a landmark auction devoted to one of fashion’s most influential figures. Organized by Maurice Auction in partnership with Kerry Taylor Auctions, the sale features approximately 200 lots drawn directly from Martin Margiela’s personal archive.

The auction will take place in Paris on July 9th, 2026. Ahead of the sale, a free exhibition conceived under Margiela’s artistic direction, with scenography by Bob Verhelst, will run from July 4th to 8th at Quartier Général, Paris. Admission is by reservation.

Positioned between fashion, design, and cultural history, this collaboration between Maurice Auction and Kerry Taylor Auctions opens a rare window onto Margiela’s creative universe. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to an organization supporting the fight against AIDS, adding a charitable dimension to this exceptional event.

As we await this extraordinary auction and exhibition, we invite you to step deeper into Martin Margiela’s creative universe through his own words in our interview.
