ISE 2025 and Llum BCN are set to illuminate Barcelona with a fusion of art and technology. Taking place from February 4th-7th at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, ISE will offer a preview of Llum BCN, the city’s annual light arts festival, which runs from February 7th-9th in the Poblenou district. This collaboration, now in its fourth year, bridges cutting-edge audiovisual innovation with visionary artistic expression, transforming urban spaces into immersive experiences.
Among the highlights, French artist Alice Labourel will present A Tiny Bead of Pure Life on February 6th at 18:30 on the South Access Welcome Screen at ISE. Inspired by Virginia Woolf’s The Death of the Moth, her 15-minute animated piece explores ephemeral beauty through surreal landscapes and intricate details, blending drawing, 3D modeling, and mythology.
Llum BCN 25 will also feature works by celebrated artists such as Joan Fontcuberta, Isaki Lacuesta, and Laura Clos (Closca), showcasing how light can redefine space and perception. With 15 professional artists and contributions from 17 universities, the festival promises an unforgettable experience for over 240,000 visitors.
As ISE attendees get an exclusive first look, Llum BCN invites all to extend their stay and witness Barcelona’s transformation into a luminous canvas. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the intersections of art, technology, and urban storytelling.
