our statement

At hube magazine, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. We deeply value the trust our community of artists, contributors, and readers places in us. However, we must address a significant mistake that occurred in one of our recent publications.

Recently, we mistakenly published an interview with artist Oyinkansola Dada alongside imagery belonging to artist Julia Daka. This mix-up was due to an error in our internal workflow, specifically within our newly appointed social media management team. While the post was taken down as soon as we realized the mistake, we recognise the gravity of this mistake and the impact it may have had on both artists, their work, and their reputations.

We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to both Oyinkansola Dada and Julia Daka. Both artists trusted us with their stories and creative work, and we will ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.

At hube magazine, we are committed to growth, accountability, and respect for the incredible work of the artists we collaborate with. We regret the oversight and are grateful to both Oyinkansola Dada and Julia Daka for their understanding and professionalism during this time.

Now, we are determined to rebuild trust through our actions moving forward.

Sincerely,

The hube magazine team
