The new Repetto collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto brings French dance heritage into dialogue with Japanese avant-garde sensibility. First shown during Yamamoto’s Paris show on March 6th, the footwear collection arrives in selected boutiques from September 14th, 2026.
A new silhouette where ballet meets the loafer
Reviving a creative dialogue that began in the 2000s, the collaboration pairs Repetto’s ballet tradition and artisanal craftsmanship with Yamamoto’s sculptural approach to the silhouette. Founded in Paris in 1947, Repetto remains closely tied to dance, while Yamamoto has made poetic restraint and subversive tailoring hallmarks of his work.
For the collaboration, Yamamoto revisits the Bolchoï, a Repetto style inspired by the construction of the classical pointe shoe. The result is a hybrid ballet loafer poised between a dance slipper and an everyday shoe.
The Bolchoï takes on a new character
The new model features a structured toe recalling the architectural form of a pointe shoe, with delicate pleats referencing traditional ballet construction. Repetto’s signature elasticated collar traces the foot for a flexible, precise fit.
The silhouette comes in four colours: Black, echoing Yamamoto’s signature palette; White, crisp and graphic; Flame, vivid and expressive; and Silver, adding a luminous contemporary accent.
