Saint Laurent Babylone showcases Louise Sartor in new exhibition ‘Adoration’

Saint Laurent Babylone opens its doors to a new chapter in its cultural programming with Adoration, a focused presentation of works by acclaimed French artist Louise Sartor, on view in Paris from December 10th to January 11th.

A world built through miniature painting

This intimate exhibition delves into Sartor’s distinctive practice, long admired for its quiet precision and emotional acuity. Known for her exquisitely crafted miniature painting, the artist invites viewers to draw close—both physically and psychologically. Her scenes are rendered in delicate gouache on fragile, unexpected surfaces such as cardboard packaging and torn newspaper, reinforcing the tension between vulnerability and permanence.

Adoration brings together a series of these small-scale yet conceptually expansive paintings, each one revealing the artist’s ongoing investigation into intimacy, perception, and the construction of images.

Presented under the direction of Anthony Vaccarello, the exhibition continues Saint Laurent’s commitment to supporting contemporary voices whose practices bridge aesthetics and cultural commentary.
