Studio Libeskind reveals Fan d’Issy: a bold new icon for Paris

Studio Libeskind has revealed Fan d’Issy, a striking mixed-use building set to rise in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Paris. Designed in collaboration with developer La Compagnie de Phalsbourg, the project will feature offices, housing, a hotel, retail spaces, and a sports hall.

With angular, fan-like facades covered in greenery, the design aims to redefine the ZAC Léon Blum eco-district. The building consists of two structures connected by a bridge, with facades clad in an innovative titanium-enriched ceramic coating. Green balconies and rooftop gardens are integrated to bring nature into the urban space. According to Studio Libeskind, the project will create a dynamic new arrival point at the upcoming Issy station of the Grand Paris Express. Sustainability is a key focus, with bio-sourced materials and renewable energy sources incorporated into the design. Construction is expected to begin once the station is completed, with a building permit anticipated in 2025. This project contributes to Paris’ broader efforts to blend architectural innovation with environmental responsibility.
