Prada Frames, curated by Formafantasma, is a multidisciplinary symposium that explores the intricate relationship between the natural environment and design. The collaborative endeavour seeks to shape, question, contextualise and create new perspectives on various themes.
Prada Frames explores the living environment as a framework for addressing today’s challenges in its third edition, Being Home. The home is a place of shelter and services, as well as a source of comfort. This ever-changing space is also where historical socio-economic norms have traditionally been established.
The symposium will take place on Sunday 14 April and Tuesday 16 April at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum in Milan. Several rooms in the museum – the living room, the bedroom, the dining room, the bathroom and the library – will be used simultaneously for intimate discussions and thematic lectures. This arrangement will encourage a continuous flow of information throughout the entire space.
Each session begins with a contextual lecture by the host, Alice Rawsthorn, explaining the historical evolution of each room type and linking these changes to broader shifts in the social, political and cultural landscape.
