Entitled Lovers Grave, this is the first solo exhibition at White Cube’s New York location on Madison Avenue. London-born artist Tracey Emin presents her latest collection of paintings, created in her studios in London and Margate, UK. This exhibition marks her return to the city after an absence of almost 8 years.
A unique artist, Tracey Emin’s work is inspired by her own life experiences. She explores themes of love, desire, loss and grief, creating emotionally charged pieces that are open and unapologetic. Emin’s practice encompasses a range of media including drawing, painting, film, photography, appliqué, sculpture, neon and writing. In recent years, her focus has shifted more towards painting, following a life-threatening illness that profoundly affected both her physical well-being and her artistic perspective.
