Neom’s latest project, Aquellum, designed by architecture studios LAVA and Name Architecture, is an innovative development set inside a mountain on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba in Saudi Arabia. Described as an ultra-luxury upside-down skyscraper, the structure will house hotels, retail space, residential apartments and innovation hubs. Featuring an underwater open plaza, visitors will access Aquellum via a specially designed vessel through a hidden underground canal. The focal point of the building is a 100-meter-high central void that rises from the underwater plaza, creating a unique space surrounded by walkable paths, geometric balconies and innovative design elements.
