The Louvre Museum celebrated the opening of the exhibition Masterpieces from the Torlonia Collection, marking the first international stop on its world tour. This remarkable show, supported by Bvlgari, presents the largest private collection of ancient Greek and Imperial Roman sculptures, preserved and restored by the Fondazione Torlonia. Displayed outside Italy for the first time, these sculptures offer a unique insight into ancient art, with over 100 restored statues.
The Masterpieces from the Torlonia Collection exhibition will be open to the public in the Denon Wing of the Louvre Museum from June 26th to November 11th, 2024. After Paris, the exhibition will travel to other major cultural institutions worldwide, continuing its mission to share this priceless artistic heritage with a global audience.
At the same time, Bvlgari unveiled the Eternally Reborn exhibition at its flagship Place Vendôme boutique to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the Roman Maison. On display from June 25th to August 31st, 2024, the project features magnificent creations from the Bvlgari Heritage Collection, including historic jewels and precious objects from private collectors.
The Eternally Reborn exhibition is conceptually linked to the Torlonia Collection through the theme of continuous renewal and timeless beauty. Highlights include Monete jewels with Greek and Roman coins, a rare sautoir set with citrines and tiger’s eyes, and a newly added gold and platinum necklace with turquoise and diamonds, presented to the public for the first time. Both exhibitions celebrate Bvlgari’s enduring ties to Rome and its commitment to the preservation and presentation of cultural heritage.
