Prepare yourself for an extraordinary experience at the 60th edition of the Venice Biennale, which runs from April 20th to November 24th in the Giardini and Arsenale. Galerie Perrotin announces the highly anticipated solo exhibition Venice 3024 by Daniel Arsham, curated by Ronald Harrar.
Arsham’s exhibition, entitled Venice 3024, offers a journey through time, transporting viewers from the past and present into the future. Through his Fractured Idols series and signature Fictional Archaeology series, the artist transforms artefacts and images to reflect on collective cultural memory.
The centrepiece of the exhibition is a large-scale bronze and stainless steel sculpture in the apse of the Chiesa di Santa Caterina. Arsham’s innovative use of artificial intelligence juxtaposes recognisable figures from anime, cartoons and antiquity, creating a mesmerising fusion of past and future.
In addition, Arsham debuts a collaboration with Italian design company Bisazza, introducing a new series of mosaic works in glass. Visitors can also explore a series of sculptures inspired by ancient works of art, created in collaboration with the Réunion des Musées Nationaux, Grand Palais, using moulds and scans from prestigious collections such as the Louvre and the Acropolis Museum.
