This milestone exhibition will open to the public on May 23th, 2024 and will feature new paintings, sculptures, and installations created specifically for this expansive exhibition, as well as recent and historical works by the gallery’s artists.
David Zwirner: 30 Years celebrates the gallery’s rich history and dynamic future. The exhibition features the work of long-standing artists such as Luc Tuymans and Stan Douglas, as well as new artists such as Elizabeth Payton, Michael Armitage and Emma McIntyre. This diverse collection underlines the gallery’s commitment to nurturing long-term relationships with its artists while continuing to embrace new talent.
This landmark event will take place in the newly constructed three-storey gallery at 606 North Western Avenue in Melrose Hill, designed by Selldorf Architects. The gallery features more than 15,000 square feet of exhibition space, an outdoor terrace with views of the Hollywood sign, and a concrete staircase reminiscent of New York’s 20th Street Gallery, unified by white facades and greenery.
